Floam is essentially clay + polystyrene (aka styrofoam). A company called EdiZONE invented and developed an ultra-light fluid called FLOAM (somewhat like shaving cream but durable), and used it to devise an improved design for wheelchair cushions helping to relieve pressure hot spots for users.

Floam. In 1994, Nickelodeon and Mattel first manufactured Floam, originally called "bubble-gak", a compound composed of "microbeads" in a foam-like substance. It came in different colors.
