Pets are allies which follow the player throughout the realm. They have no HP and do not absorb enemy projectiles, but they have abilities which benefit the player in battle, such as healing the player or attacking enemies. Pets do not disappear when a character dies. They will just return to your Pet Yard.

How do pets work in Realm of the Mad God?
Pets are followers which assist your character during battle and recovery. Pets are not hurt by enemy fire and thus, cannot die. Unlike items, pets are not lost on death, even if the pet is with you. Pets are obtained by hatching (using) a pet egg while in the Pet Yard.
How does pet fusion work?
Pet Fusing is an action which takes place in the Pet Yard, wherein two pets of the same family and rarity are combined to create one new pet of the next rarity level. Your pet yard must be at least one tier above the pets you intend to fuse, in order to be able to attempt a fusion with those pets.
What do you do with eggs in Realm of the Mad God?
Pet eggs are consumble items only usable in the pet yard, which, when used, hatch a follower (Pet). There are 15 different types of pet eggs. Aside from the 15 types of eggs, there are also 5 different rarities: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Legendary, and Divine, and these eggs get respectively better.
How do you get gold in Realm of the Mad God?
Each account starts with 100 gold for free (which is not renewed each time your character dies), you may purchase gold by standing on the gold coin icon located at each market place.
