Is an 81 passing?
This is an above-average score, between 80% and 89% C - this is a grade that rests right in the middle. C is anywhere between 70% and 79% D - this is still a passing grade, and it's between 59% and 69%
What is higher grade A or an?
Traditionally, the grades are A+, A, A−, B+, B, B−, C+, C, C−, D+, D, D− and F, A+ being the highest and F being lowest. In some cases, grades can also be numerical.
What is an A in college?
The top grade is an A, which equals 4.0. You calculate your overall GPA by averaging the scores of all your classes. This is the standard scale at most colleges, and many high schools use it. To convert your GPA to a 4.0 scale: Letter Grade.
Is D+ a failing grade?

Why is an 80 an A in Canada?
It's just a different style of marking. It's much easier to get marks in US schools, and consequently they raise the grade equivalents to compensate. When you apply to medical schools in the US, they take this into account and an 80+ or A at most Canadian universities equates to a 4.0 in the US.

Which is better an A or an A?
Use “a” before words that start with a consonant sound and “an” before words that start with a vowel sound. Other letters can also be pronounced either way. Just remember it is the sound that governs whether you use “a” or “an,” not the actual first letter of the word.
