Fur loss can be caused by several different kinds of mites that can infest rabbits, including mange mites (Sarcoptes spp.), fur mites (Cheyletiella spp. and Leporacus spp.), and mites causing ear canker (Psoroptes spp. or Chorioptes spp.) and other problems (see below).
