Do animals stay in the Chao garden?
Once you give them to your Chao, the sparkle will disappear and the animal will vanish from the garden after a while. The animals will stay in the garden even when you leave, except for on the Dreamcast where all items left in the garden disappear for good!
Where can I find a skeleton dog in Sonic Adventure 2?
The Skeleton Dog is one of the rare animals found in Sonic Adventure 2, either in the third Chao container or hidden somewhere difficult in the stage, with the sole exception of Pumpkin Hill, where it's treated as normal and therefore found in the second Chao container and hidden in the level.
How do you get a Sonic Chao in sa2?
Get either green chaos drives, or animals that give your Chao speed: bunnies, cheetahs, skeleton dogs, etc. Have your hero and dark character take turns giving the Chao the drives/animals. It's recommended to use animals because they give your Chao more points. Also, stamina does not matter!

Hatch a Chao from the Chao Garden (or buy one from the Tiny Chao Garden in Sonic Advanced). Raise it with Dark Characters, and treat it so that it favors Dark characters, giving it its favorite fruit, feeding it period. The Chao will turn darker to black eventually.

You give your Chao 5 Run animals, then 5 Power animals, then 5 Fly animals, and then 5 Swim animals. You repeat this process 20 times, so that it has had a total of 100 of each kind. Because the Chao most recently interacted with a balance of all types, it will evolve into the Normal type.
How long are Chao classes?
Each lesson will be available for 60 minutes. Once you place a Chao in the classroom, it will take 30 minutes to complete the lesson. Unlike the Chao Garden, the classroom time will only pass while you are playing the game outside of Chao World - and not the time spent in the Chao Gardens!

To get inside the Chao Garden mode, you will need to find one of the three Chao boxes placed in each level, which will contain a key that transports you to the Garden when you beat the level. Once inside, you will first be greeted by two Chao eggs.

You can only have a maximum of 8 Chao in each garden. If you have more than this, Chao will leave and go to a garden with free space. If you have a full garden on Sonic Adventure for Dreamcast, you will be unable to remove a Chao from the VMU to that garden.
